In Hawaii, the mini-FTC act is Haw. Rev. Stat. § 481-1 to 5. Under this legislation, a plaintiff has a cause of action if a person engaged in a deceptive trade practice related to their business, vocation or occupation. Injunctive relief is available without proof of monetary damages required, as well as other statutory or common law damages.
